Dr Breda Clifford is originally from Co. Kerry and has been living and working as a GP in Co. Meath since 1997. She founded The Surgery , which operates out of two sites, in Navan and Dunshaughlin, in 2001 and has enjoyed caring for her patients since then.
She graduated from University College Cork in 1983 and has spent time living, training and working in Ireland, Chicago and the UK. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and is Board Certified in Family Practice in the USA.
Dr Clifford is passionate about all aspects of General Practice, particularly women’s health, and is a LARC tutor for mirena and implanon insertion, and copper coil. She also has a keen interest in dermatology and minor surgery.
Dr Clifford lives locally with her husband and is a mother to four children. When not working in The Practice, she enjoys exercising and the outdoors. She was an avid runner until it took its toll on her knees and she can now be found most evenings on a spin bike.

Dr Ciara Bourke is from Navan. She was delighted to join The Surgery in 2019. She graduated from University College Dublin in 2013. She then completed her intern year at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital. She went on to join the North East GP Training scheme from which she gained her membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2018. She has diplomas in Women's Health and Psychiatry and is a Tutor in Long Acting Reversible Contraception (Kyleena, Mirena, Implanon and Copper coils) and Tutor in Contraception.
While Dr Ciara enjoys all things GP she has a particular interest in Contraception, Sexual Health Screening, Menopause, Sports and Exercise Medicine (including joint injections), Paediatrics and Health Promotion.
When she has time off she generally spends it outdoors and looks forward to doing some more road races once the pandemic is over! She also enjoys sea swimming, baking and cooking.
LEARN MOREWe are very lucky to have Siobhan with us at The Surgery since 2007. Her special interests include cervical screening, family planning, immunisations and phlebotomy and she is a tutor with Cervical Check. She also enjoys seeing patients as part of chronic disease management, in particular our diabetic patients. Siobhan is married and has 4 children. When she's not at work she enjoys walking and golfing.

Her caring and compassionate nature means she is loved by both patients and staff alike. Adrienne, Mary, Niamh, Lynda and Lorraine make up the remainder of our wonderful administrative team.
